2018 Escape Updated Navigation Maps
I recently leased a 2018 Escape (really like it!! ) and just noticed that the Navigation Maps are not up-to-date.
I was driving south on NJ Garden State Parkway and the map showed exit 163 (Route 17 / Paramus) still on the left side of the highway - when it has been changed to the right side for over a year now.
When I get a new car I expect the maps to be as current as possible - not outdated.
What should I do at this point to get an up-to-date map?
Thanks!

Not sure how the new SYNCH system works. My newest vehicle is mt 2015 F-150 with the SYNCH2 system. Ford's "LASTEST MAP UPDATES" have always been about 2 years behind in data. I just received a notice from Ford that the A8 map update is now available for purchase when the A9 just came out. I am not surprised...

Yep, even Garmin give you 2 free updates if you have a device with a lifetime subscription.
My 2015 F-150 came with the latest update (A6) when it was built AUG 2015. Now the map update is at A9 for the SYNC2 units. You would think that a vehicle with an MSRP of $51K (or any vehicle for that matter) would net one at least a free update every 2 years. I would be OK with that.
Our 2010 MKZ was just pitiful with its' NAV system. We bought it new, but the NAV could find home. It wouldn't even come up with our address when the house has been in the same place since it was built back in 1957. A $40K car could find home, but a $79 Garmin knew exactly where it lived (as one throws their hands in the air and shakes their head in wonder)...
