Hi- I have a 2004 escape and am having problems with the gas gauge not going to full when you fill the tank up. It has already been repaired once last year, is anyone else having this issue? It will gradually go up as you drive the car but not all the way.

 

Ford has incorperated a guage meetering devise. basicly the older gas guages would change levels while going around a bend or up hills. To eleviate this issue the new cars have a circuit that tryes to hold the guage steady by changing the resistance in the system. Sould like you need a new fuel level sending unit. You may have a broken wire or it is possible you may have a bad guage cluster. I see alot of these issues. 99.9% of the time it is the fuel level sending unit.
