Gas Pedal sticking

Gas Pedal sticking
I have a 4Cy 05 escape. The accelerator pedal gets stuck (will not move down) when cold started in the morning or evening after work. It got worst yesterday and had to really struggle (kept car running for 10 minutes) before I could pump it.
I did an oil change immediately which was overdue, the mechanic mentioned the oil is low. Don't know if this caused the issue. Will this fix the problem, or any other suggestions? The car has 120k on it. Thanks,

Thanks
Thanks for the info, looked at some videos and got some ideas. Will check out of I can access the trottle body, to clean.
One question tough. Will this address my issue like sticking when it is cold or I may have to look at the cable too?

Without being there to look at it and check it you may need to replace the throttle body itself. I believe there were some problems with the throttle body bore contracting when in pretty cold environments and jamming the butterfly in the closed position.

throttle cleaner
Cleaned the throttle body with throttle cleaner and now the pedal does not stick. Did not remove the body out, just removed the hose and cleaned by spraying the cleaner and wiping it out. has worked for now, maybe more good cleaning will be needed at a later date. Thanks for all your help...
Now I need new tires, any suggestion between Dunlop Rover or BF Goodrich long trail (15 inch).
