I used to have a 2006 Ford Explorer. On the front dash, it had a reader that would tell me "XXX Miles till Empty" as well as my average "MPG."

I recently bought a 2008 Ford Escape and it did not come with that same instrument. It only says my total mileage.

Is there a way to install that onto my dash without having to install an aftermarket piece to attach separately? It is not a necessity but I enjoyed having it even if it was not always accurate.
