Default New recall

Got a call from the salesman Saturday morning about another fire-related recall on our 2013 1.6 SEL. Again, this is not the early fuel-line recall unless he completely misunderstood what Ford told him. He did say that widespread word might not have gotten out... so be on the lookout.

Nice to hear your salesman was on top of this. I talked to Ford today and, they are not saying much other than the engine may overheat and, cause an engine fire. If you should get an overheat warning, chimes or check engine light you should safely stop the car and get out of the vehicle. Then call Ford for assistance. I was instructed to get the car back to the dealer as soon as possible. Ford is providing a loaner car until the issue has been resolved. At this point they did not know how long it would take to get the problem resolved. The recall is Notice number 12S41 for your reference.

I called the Dealer this morning and they told to call service and they would take care of it. You can call Ford at 866-436-7322 to verify that your car is on the list. Ford was very helpful and, said to keep driving to a limited amount and, watch for overheating. Will keep everyone updated as I learn more.
