I have a 2006 Mercury Mariner. The steering is hard at slow speeds. During the warranty period, the power steering pump and rack were replaced at separate times. I have had the fluid changed with an additive due to a noise that it was making. It has been diagnosed as needing both the power steering pump and rack once again, within two years. Is this a normal problem with these vehicles?
