stuck in park

08 escape will stick in park, what could this be and where is the switch located at to replace

You could start with checking the stoplite switch for operation and/or adjustment.
Its located above the brake pedal and is activated when you depress the brake pedal.
Does the vehicle have a column shift selector or is it on the floor?
