what is that large black thing on the windshield under the rear view mirror?
I just bought a used 2013 Ford Escape SEL and I'm still learning things on it.... but one thing I can't figure out is what the large thing on the windshield is under the rear view mirror - it is oval in shape and about a foot long. I've looked at other Escapes and it doesn't have this thing... I thought maybe it was automatic wipers, but I don't have an "A" on the windshield wiper control (for automatic) so now I'm thinking it is something else... any thoughts?
