How much would a new one cost? or it best to buy on the junkyard, about how much would it cost there?
Where should i buy it new?

new at a dealer here is about 80 dollars canadian,i would not bother with a scrap yard if it was setting for awhile you could end up right back to square one .aftermarket at napa or any other store is a better way to go .for maybe 50 bucks could be even cheaper than that

It been since May that I replaced belt tensioner( iI bought at at junkyard)
It works great!

Yeah, I was having a look at the tensioner on my 98 2.0L just yesterday. Doesn't look too hard to remove.

Great to hear that it worked out at the wreckers. You never can tell. Have to gamble on how long you want to keep the car.

I like the "pull it yourself" yards. You can look at the part and decide if it looks good. I've had some good luck there.
