2002 ZX2 Auto CANT GET OUT OF PARK

2002 ZX2 Auto CANT GET OUT OF PARK
Could not get car out of park today. Car started just fine, released the parking break, put my foot on the break and the lever on the console would not move. Someone told me there should be a parking break release someplace on the console... cant find it, need help.
