Default 94 Ford Escort. Won't turn over.

I tried starting the car and when I turn the key it doesn't make any sound which leads me to believe there's something wrong with the starter or wiring. The battery is fine, has been charged and tested. But I found these 2 wires leading to the frame of the car where the ignition switch is and one of the wires is connected to the starter solenoid, and the other is not connected to anything. I wanted to figure out where that wire connects and if that could be why it's not starting.

Here's a picture of the loose wire. Name: xws51Mt.jpg

Here's a picture of where the first wire is connecting to the solenoid Name: ZAKdOd7.jpg

The best thing to do is to find where that wire with the loose end is connected at the other end. Once you have determined the location, get back to us and we should be able to help you.

Hey thanks for the advice Hanky. We figured out the wires were connected to a push button that was actually used to start the car instead of turning the key itself. The lose wire needed to be connected to the positive terminal and it was able to fire up.
