95 escort coolant system
Hello,
I've got a 95 Escort LX wagon that I have replaced the thermostat on and flushed the coolant system but I still have problems with it overheating. The coolant in the resevoir will start to boil. It seems as if the radiator is'nt sucking coolant out of the resevoir. Is it possible that there is some sensor that needs replacing? It would be very much appreciated if anyone has any ideas on how to fix as cheaply as possible. It's not that I'm cheap but just out of work for 28 months and I need to be able to try to get to interviews some how.
Thanks

You might try this,
When the engine is COLD, remove the coolant filler cap then squeeze the upper radiator hose a few times and see if the coolant level goes down in the recovery bottle.
The next thing I would suspect, anytime the coolant boils there is usually compression getting into the cooling system. If that is the case further tests would be necessary to confirm and isolate the problem.
At this time only speculation, but could be defective head gasket, cracked head/block, defective water pump, etc.
