Default Escort driver's window regulator

I have replaced my 1992 4 door driver's door regulator several times w/used regulators which were supposedly in good shape and still having issues. I have researched and found they do not make a replacement for this car. I've also searched and they say that even a good used regulator needs to be installed just right or it won't work properly (supposedly very tricky installation and very finicky). I'm sure I'm not the first person experiencing this issue. Is there any aftermarket products out there that can replace this unit? Any suggestions? Thanks, Woody

You can always buy a universal unit and have some fun with matching it...

I've read mixed opinions about the after market regulators. Some say under powered, slow, etc. I'm no that mechanically inclined to take on something this tricky. Thanks though
