Default Fuel Cutout

I've been trying to get my 92 Escort started and it's not starting and I've been getting a light on my dash and it reads Fuel Cutout. I'd like to know what this means and what do I need to do to get my car started.Thank you

Hello and good day:

Firstdo you have your owners Manuel??? Look for the Location of where the AUTO FUEL SHUTOFF switch is located and reset it...Ford calls this the "Ineria ****ch"...this shuts off the flow of fuel to the Engine (safety issue)...on the 91 to the 96 this switch is located in the Rear of the vehicle, near the right (passenger side) strut tower....On sedan and coupe models...open the trunk and remove the right-side trim panel...on hatchbacks and wagons...there may be a access door secured by clips...some models will have a small cable to pull to reset the switch...some of them you will need a small flat head screwdriver to place into the slots and pry up the red button will disable the fuel pump...press the red button to enable the pump.
