iac location?

Default iac location?

could someone tell me where the iac is located on a 1.9 94' escort...is it on the air box, throttle body or elsewhere...a picture would be great thanks.

hi, have u tried cleaning the throttle body? u need to clean this first, as this may be the problem. location is, find the air filter box. follow the big fat hose comming out of the air filter box towards the engine. undo the jubilee clip that holds it on and pull back the hose. u should mow see a brass coloured disc sitting in a hole. it is about 2 inches in diameter. muck builds up around the circumference of this disc and also the edge of the hole, this reduces the amount of air that the engine takes in and could cause the problem. clean it with carburretta cleaner or brake and clutch cleaner. mick
