No Spark or Power at Fuel Pump

No Spark or Power at Fuel Pump
Good Morning!
I have a 1997 Ford Escort LX. One morning while driving to work the car lost power, stalled and would not restart. It restarted after approx. 2 hours. Started and drove fine for approx. 2 weeks. That morning it would not start. At first the fuel pump would run for it's 1.5 seconds as I first turned on the key. Now there is no power at all to the fuel pump. Checked the Shut-off switch, no power there, either. Yes, the switch was reset. Now I check for spark at the #1 cylinder and ther is no spark! Could it be either the EEC relay that powers the computer or could it be the CCRM. How do I check either of these? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hello and good day:
Check your Alternator....and replace it....
My daughter had the same systoms on her 1999 Escort SE...and what was causing this was a bad Alternator...and it was discharging the Battery as well....If the Alternator is bad, and not recharging the battery the Car will only runs directly form the Battery....
Good Luck with this.
