I have a 96 ford ranger. The shifter "Sitck" or i have to work it in to gear . This is only 1st and 2nd gear. it drives fine once its moving, just does this at stops. pi'm expecting to have to replace the clutch. I just want to know what to look for so i dont get ripped off.

Before you have the clutch replaced you might want to check these items.
I believe your vehicle may have a hydraulic clutch system and therefore can you check if the clutch master cylinder is full of fluid?
Also, does the clutch linkage need to be adjusted?
Let us know what you find!
