Default 1997 expedition

Hey thanks for takeing the time to read this,

ok first off i have a 97 that is running like crap, but no light is on? and allso check this out the exhaust is so hot it melted a plastic garbage can that was next to the truck? i took it to the shop and they took the scanner to in and came up with some codes but could not tell me what they ment ,,
i still dont know why no light came on? i have done all the plugs checked fuel and all seemed ok

any help would be great as there is no ford shop around here i am US military overseas

Sounds like non-stock type spark plugs firing too hot and making a mess of trouble. Could be something else like a sensor leaning fuel mix a touch too though. Exhaust is always hot on a hot motor. The pipes can burn you even on a cooler running engine - but usually not enough to melt plastic unless it's a foot or less away.

hey thanks for the help,,

you think it could be a TP sensor or the mass air flow sensor? the plugs that i where put in it where stock from the dealer that i had shipped over here! and the trash can was about 2 feet away!! crazy. It runs like its missing but when you give it gas it spits and sputers and when i let off the gas it wants to die
