2010 Headrests suck - need replacements
The 2010 Expedition driver/passenger headrests are bent forward way too much. I know they say its a safety factor for whiplash but it is terribly uncomfortable.
Why drive for years in discomfort for the chance you might get rear ended.
You cannot sit with a proper posture with these headrests, no exaggerating. My back is always hurting during and after driving.
Any headrests on the after market I can use or maybe the headrests of another yr EXPY?
Thanks!

There is a simple cure
I removed the headrests in my wife's 2010 Ltd, covered them (really well), clamped down on the shop table and bent them one at a time. All is now comfy and looks OEM.
Be sure to use a good pc of pipe a little bigger than the HR frame and slide it up all the way. Then just bend away... They bend real easy.
I forgot to mention... Use ~3ft 2x6 to mount your clamps on. This way, you have the HR solid and secure. Makes it MUCH easier.

I have the same problem and would like to correct the angle of the headrests. Your solution seems perfect. Can you however clarify the use of the use of another piece of pipe over the HR frame (or pipe). Is this to prevent kinking of the Ford frame. Thus, I assume both pipes (inner and outer) get bent at the same time? If so, what did you use that bent so easily?
Thanks

Pretty Easy Fix
I erred ... I actually used a 2x8 and clamps to "sandwich" the head rest.
Now, with that said...
Use a section of pipe with an ID that will fit the "open ends" of the headrest frame. (rods) The one I used was ~.125 larger. Main reason for the pipe is to keep the frame ends from Kinking ( as you so aptly said).
I bent each frame end separately. I used a protractor and 24" straight edge to keep them parallel.
I had to bend them quite a bit. Don't really remember how much, but it was alot.
Good luck.
I know the HR's are much better now.

Duhh... Forgot to mention... Push the pipe down to the original bend so it "rebends" that area.
