Default 97 Expedition 4x4 Air Coils Replacement DIY Help

Hi everyone, this is my first post here. My mom recently bought a 1997 5.4L 4x4 Expedition. She had the engine tuned up and the guy had it a few days. When we picked it up, the back end was sagging big time and he told us about the air coils and how they fail sometimes, so he disconnected the compressor. I was able to pull the back air coils out (using a Haynes manual) but I need to know how to install new ones (it doesn't specify how to). There doesn't seem to be enough room to put new (inflated?) ones in... I can take the old ones out because they are busted and have no air in them, but how do I put new ones in without damaging them? Is there some way to deflate them so they are really short, or do I need to jack up the vehicle on the frame more to let the rear axle drop more? I am afraid of dropping it too much, as it scares me to do so. I can only jack the frame about a foot, so is this enough room to drop the rear axle (onto my driveway) to get new air coils on? Is there a write-up on this? Thanks for the help.

not sure how to put them back in but on another note the dude probably lifted the truck with out disengaging the air so they pumped up and burst
