Default 99 Ford Expedition Problems starting and it wanting to cut off

I have a 1999 Ford Expedition that does not idle really well when you start but eventually will start but will shut off several times during the process. It also likes to cut off when I am stopping at stop lights. I was told it was the idle air control valve and the throttle position sensor. Can someone please help me. I don't want to spend a lot of money and it not be the problem. Also my service engine light is on and will not go off. I had it tested and they told me my problem was my fuel relay but fixed it and still doing the same thing

It is important to know just what code(s) were in the computer at the time the check engine lite came on. The codes provide some direction to go when checking for the cause. For example, if the code read that there was a problem in the fuel relay system it does not necessarily mean the fuel relay itself is faulty only that a problem exists in the fuel relay circuit. If possible can you get the code(s) and then maybe we can offer some suggestion as to where to look for the possible solution.

Trying to be a little discrete ,I would have to say that the person that told you it was a fuse either didn't know what the problem was or was just maybe being "cute"!
Before we condemn a computer (PCM) Powertrain control module, there are certain tests that are usually done first.
If possible can you have another store read those codes and at least try to obtain the code numbers and post them here.

Was the windshield ever replaced in your vehicle?

The reason I asked the question was MANY Ford vehicles have had a problem with the windshield leaking and corroding the interior fuse panel resulting in unbelievable electrical problems. That may be what the person meant when he/she suggested a fuse problem. Some of these vehicles leaked from when new and some leaked after windshield replacement.Try another store for a free code reading before considering spending any $ just yet.
