i can't put fuel into my truck with out it flying back out. its a pain i have to barelyadd gas in order for it to go in,20 bucks takes my 20 mins to put in.i has gotten worse no it really doesn't want to take gas.need some advice i ain't taking it to ford i just need to know what the problem is so i can get someone to fix it.thanks

 

In order to add fuel to the tank, the air (or vapor) has to go somewhere. There is a system on the tank called the vapor recovery system. It runs off the top of the tank (roller valve) and goes to a carbon canister andvent solenoid (normally open) and then to a vent hose. I would look at the vent hose to see if maybe a dirt dobber built a nest in it, or it just has mud in it. Keep going back up the hose toward the tank until you find the restric[sm=mail.gif]tion.
