Hi, I had the fuel pump in my 2003 expedition replaced and now the gas gauge is not reading correctly. It is showing empty and the warning comes on but when I go to fill it, it only takes 16 gallons meaning I still have 13 left. When I fill it up the gauge does show full but the needle moves towards empty way to fast. I got the higher priced fuel pump also. I know the gauge runs off the info sent from the pump assembly and the float that is attached. I removed the battery cable to let the system reset also and that did not help. Any ideas about what can be happening here.

 

I’d take it back to who replaced the module.. If it worked fine prior to the replacement, something went wrong involving the job, or parts used..
