I don't know if you had a chance to check. When you place the selector in gear the engine probably moves some and it could possibly be contacting a worn through wire causing a short in a completely unrelated circuit. Might be a good idea to look closely for any wires that get too close to the engine when it moves. Does it happen in reverse too?

Thanks for the reply im suspecting a wire grounding some where i was told to look in steering column maybe when i shift into gear it rubs it will idle good until i put it in gear and step on gas then it will blow the fuse

It idles well but I was thinking, aside from a dead short associated with whatever metal pieces is moving when selecting a gear with full swing, park to reverse, that maybe the fuel filter is plugged and that forces the pump to push fuel through a blockage harder and therefore the fuse blows as amps increase. Far fetched idea...happens on Saturn's a lot especially when below zero temperatures and you hard accelerate.

skip.

Does it happen when you go from park to reverse?
