Trailer Towing with my Expedition
Hey all, newbie here.
I have a 2000 Expy 4x4 with the 5.4 v8. I tow a 30 ft Travel trailer that has a GVWR of 7200lbs. Even with my weight distribution hitch I still get the front end of the truck tilted up when towing. I have replaced the rear shocks with the best coil over Gas charged heavy duty shocks I could get. No real improvement.
I ordered online this morning an air lift leveling kit. In essence it is a rubber bladder system that fits inside the rear coil springs and allows you to add or decrease pressure in the air bladders.
My question is has anyone here used them and if so what do they think? If not I will post my results once they arrive and I install and test them. The link to the item I purchased is below if anyone is interested.
