Default Transmission slipping?

I have a 2005 EB Expy that is now 1600 miles out of warranty. It has had a hesitation issue 3 times now, the motor revs, and then the tranny grabs. Yesterday I pulled up to a stop sign let foot off of brake and gave it gas but it started to drift backwards before it grabbed and took off. It has sufficient tranny fluid in it and that is not the issue, it does seem to go away after it is warmed up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i would say its a possibilty the filter is clogging up in the tranny. or maybe bands are in need of adjustment. with it being a 05 i wouldnt think it coud be the torque converter going out already, so i would simply have the tranny filter and fluid changed and the bands adjusted to be on the safe side. you should be solid after that and if you a jiffy lube or some place like that near by this can all be done by them for less the 30.00 bucks in most cases. good luck to you hope this info helped..

Well, be danged, I was right. It is the torque converter and front pump per the mechanic, $1986 estimate, and 1800 miles over warranty. What a crock. June 2006 is when they started with the 60K powertrain warranty. Thanks for input, and hope this helps, but yet does not happen to anyone else.
