Default 02 XLT Explorer Front Rotors

I need to replace the pads and hopefully re surface the rotors on the front of my 2002 Ford Explorer XLT. I've done brakes before but was wondering if any of you know what tools I need to remove the rotors ???

4wd a little harder, but no real special tools that I remember. Not sure on this year, but older ones the rotor and hub are the same in one. hopefully now they're seperate, would make things easier. I usually say just replace the rotors as they don't usually cost that much, $20 -$30 for 2wd, maybe double for 4wd

I no the year wrong its just a new as the site goes.[:@]

yeah, it costs 75.00 for each one in the front. So I'm hoping that there not to far gone to re-surface. So your telling me the rotor and hub are the same? When I take the calber off does the rotor come right off or do I need a specific wrench to remove it ?? I have read somewhere that it takes a 2 and 1/8 inch socket to remove. If that correct then I would need to either buy one or borrow one. Just like to know what I'm in for before I start this project.

for the cost of resurfacing i always say if you have a vibration after putting new pads replace the rotors if you get them resurfaced for about a 1 hour per side and you still have old rotors and you dont need any sockets or anything just take off caliper then bracket and remove the rotors
