'06 explorer V8 plug change out problems
As stated, I have an '06 V8 Explorer, I have changed out 7 of the spark plugs. There in lies the problem!! The last spark plug rear on the passengers side (#7?) came out fine, less the bottom. The metal sleeve and electrode part, below the threads.
I have tried to pull the part out (long way down in there) using some 12" tweezers I had, with no luck.
I saturated the area with liquid wrench.
Thinking about Shop Vac; but if it came off the plug that probably will not work.
Thought about starting the engine, and seeing if compression would do the job?
I had messed up; I thought I had changed plugs at 100,000, but I guess not. We are at 130,000. The plugs I thought I had put in, must have gone on my old 02 truck.
Any Ideas? Momma is not real happy with what I did to her baby! The dog house is too little for the dog and me! HELP

There is a special tool for extracting broken plugs in v8 ford trucks, you may be able to rent it from your local auto parts store, ie autozone, or advance auto parts. What it does, is push the remaining porcelin thru, then you have to thread in the other peice, and it will extract the broken plug. You will know when you have done this right, because you will hear the porcelin crack, then you have to really crank down on the other peice, it is reverse thread so it will not damage your cylinder head. If you are unable to rent the tool, you may have to find a snap on man at a local shop, and see if he would be kind enough to sell you said tool. Other wise you will have to tow it to a shop, and pay someone else to do a job im sure you are capable of. Hope this helps
