1994-98 Series : What You Must Know About Trannies
Fellow Explorer Dudes ,
I Almost Forgot to Share a Very important Fact With All You Guys with The 94-98 Series 4WD Explorers , an inexpensive lesson , if done as a prevention . .
I Was Having Transmission Overheating problems with my 94 before I had to say goodbye to it , and would still have it today if I Read Further .
The thing kept overheating , even after a "Real" Flush , and Filter Change , and Not a Sears Type Drain the pan , and clean the filter Type .
The truck Still got overheated to the Boiling Point on a Normal drive of 20 miles , but I Could Not figure why till I Asked an old farmer near My new cabin , and he asked if I Changed The Trans Cooler on The Side of The Trans. , I Said No , and he said "It's a Gonna go Again if'n ya Don't change it "
So I Did , For only $108.00 or so New (FOR THE 64 FIN ONE , Heavy Duty) , but Too Late , as The Trans. Had Overheated Too Many Times , So , You Know , .....I Priced a Rebuilt , and That's Why I Don't Have it Anymore , and I Really Loved That Truck , So if it Starts to do it , Change it , and Don't Wind up like me ,
Heartbroken for Lack of research .
The Likwid , Semper Fi ,
Silverstate Ford, in Nevada , Las Vegas had them
