Default 2002-2007 Ford Explorer Owners - Having Transmission Problems????

E-Mail me and I will give you at least four sites you can go to and see 1000's of others having the same issues. Although Ford is aware of these issues they continue to manufacture vehicles and turn a blind eye to consumer complaints and greivances. Let me help you become an aware consumer.

I am interested since I am on my 3rd transmission in my 2007 ford explorer limited (80,000 miles). I need to know where I can get evidence to support my claim that there is definitely something wrong with the production of these transmissions.

Default 2007 Ford Explorer Transmission

I own a 2007 ford explorer Eddie Bauer Edition - 170,000 miles - had tranny rebuilt last October at 155,180 miles. I now have approx. 14,900 miles on tranny (warranty was only for 12,000 miles) and last Sunday I had a puddle of tranny fluid on my garage floor. Good news is fluid was very clean and very pinkish red, no burnt smell at all. Bad thing is, it has been at my mechanic's garage since then (was towed in) and has not leaked again. Has been sitting for a week and no spot of anything under the vehicle. They drove it yesterday and could not get it to leak. My husband and brother in law looked under vehicle when I noticed the puddle and they both agreed it looked to be leaking where tranny and motor come together so we are thinking seal. My mechanic isn't sure that's the case as it has not leaked since. Any ideas? I've read horror stories about these transmissions but thought once I had mine rebuilt I would be ok, at least for longer than 15,000 miles. Is there a relationship between clutch fan and tranny ?

Thanks for any help

Wow! My husband and I have had issues 3 times with our transmission. It's super crazy but she (our truck) has been going for 14 yrs with us so I'm thankful for that.
