Default 2002 Ford Explorer Electrical Problems

I have a 2002 Ford Explorer. My brake lights and turn signal lights do not work when the lights are off. When I have my lights on, only the left turning signal light work - no brake lights, no right turning signal light work at all. Thus, the people behind me do not know when Im turning or stopping, but people that Im behind know that Im turning because the signal lights work in the front.

We've checked the bulbs, changed them. Checked the fuses, replaced them and still nothing!!!!

What's next? Please help! I need to pass inspection in order to get a current tag (license plate)

Sounds like you might need a turn signal switch. The brake lites also run through that. You might try turning the hazard lights on and off a few times to see it that helps. Sometime the internal contacts are the problem and they will work for a while.
