Exclamation 2002 ford explorer electrical problems

I have had a 2002 Ford Explorer for quite a while now, and it has started giving me strange problems. Can anyone explain these??? At night when I turn my truck off I have to turn my interior light dimmer switch all the way to off, or the lights inside won't turn off when I close the door. But when that switch is all the way off my door locks will not work on the driver side door. Also, my windshield wipers will only work on full speed. And I have to time it just right to get them to stop in the down position. Can anyone help me, this thing is driving me crazy!!! Oh, I also forgot to mention that the driver side valet light went out on me a while back, and I replaced it, but now it still doesn't work. I tried a few differant bulbs. Actually, this all seemed to happen about the same time. Thanks again for all of you guys help!!!

Just about all the problems you seem to have are caused by a malfunctioning GEM Module (Generic Electronic Module). Other vehicle manufacturers refer to them as Body Control Module. It is located under the dash toward the driver's side of center.
