2003 Explorer stuck in Park
My 2003 Explorer is dead in the middle of my driveway and I need to move it over so I can get my car out of the garage. I tried jumping it with my other car but no luck and am thinking that I have bigger issues than the battery. I want to shift the car in Neutral so I can move it over but I cannot get the shifter out of Park. Is there any way to manually release the solenoid that gets engaged when you press on the brake to release the shifter so you can move it out of Park? If so how?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Welcome to the site..
On the 'underside' of the column cover there a small access cover that you rotate counterclockwise to open and gain access to overide the shift interlock with a small screw driver ect.. If you have a owners manual the instructions are there.. If you don't have a owners manual you can download or preview one here..
