Hi. I have a 2008 4 X 4, Explorer XLT, 6 cyl. 5 speed automatic w/overdrive. My gas mileage is terrible and I have noticed that my overdrive doesn't kick in until about 60 to 65 MPH on level highways. Is this normal? My vehicle only has 28000 miles on it, does anyone have any suggestions on improving my gas mileage? Is this a common problem. I am getting about 16 mph on the road and about 12.5/13 mph with city driving. I wasn't expecting anything more than the 19/15 standard mileage but this is rough.
