Default 2019 Explorer Towing??

I'm looking at a new 19 Explorer XLT with the 3.5L. I'm wondering if anyone on here has any experience towing with theirs currently. Of course the salesman said it would tow just fine but would rather hear it from someone else's mouth first. The only thing I tow is my 17ft aluminum bass boat that weighs in around 1700 lbs and a flatbed trailer for wood and misc. stuff. It doesn't have the factory tow package so the dealer said he would put a hitch on it for me for free.

Welcome to the site..

The Owners Guide has your specific trailer weight limits.
Being is not equipped with a Trailer Tow Package would limit it to 2000 lbs. With the hitch installed, it would increase the trailer load to a max 5K.
