Default 96 explorer turn signal

ok my problem is that every time i try to put on the right turn signal on by pushing the lever up it just buzzes and dosent turn on the light but if i dont lock the turn signal on it works fine any suggestions

I just repaired the same problem on my 96 Explorer.
The grease around the contacts in the column has dried up and the contacts are corroded.
You will have to remove the module, clean the contacts and lightly apply an electrical lube(grease)
