96 explorer will not start

the explorer died the other day well wont start called RAA (roadside assistance) wife had the car they turned up and said the coil pack was not working (because there is no spark) replaced coil pack same thing no spark the workshop book states a ignition circuit fuse and a fuel pump fuse whereare theyas i dont have a owners manual or a list of what fuse reley is what and where engine does crank over but also cant smell any fuel as you would expect to any help as need to get it mobile thanks robert

Here's a diagram for the I/P fuse box..The ignition/coil is fuse position 19.. Also, possibleCKP (crank sensor) as the PCM gets its RPM/Crank position from the CKP..

Try changing the transmission range senor.

sounds like what happened to me but CAA (roadside assistance) said it most likely is the fule pump its self (because the first time it happened the quick remedy was to kick the underside pan) when my car was completly dead they replcaced the fule pump and then all was good... they said that old pumps get "lazy" preventing the "ZZZZZZT" you hear when u start the car (not realy sure what they ment but i believe its is with regards to the electricals i donno) anyway every thing is running fine and had no more problems...got my car back last week..
