ABS activation at low speeds
Hi,
First time here. My 2000 ford explorer xls's ABS activates when the brakes are applied at low speeds. Applying more pressure to the brake pedal stops the activation. The ABS indicator light does not/is not activated. Mechanic told me it was probably the ABS wheel sensor. $350 for the part andfor labor. They also said the diagnostic could not pinpoint which sensor was malfunctioning. Gave me the option of having both done or letting the problem get worse in the hopes the computer can pick up which one is screwed up. Any suggestions??
