CD/Radio/Tape Player
Weird things are happening in my 2003 Explorer. When it's cold CD/Radio/Tape nothing works. The unit won't come on. After it sits in the sun and I go to lunch the unit comes on but doesn't play. You can hear feedback through the speakers. On the return trip from lunch the unit plays just fine. Anyone had this problem. NAPA guys state it can't be the fuses because they are good or bad no in between.[IMG][/IMG]

RE: CD/Radio/Tape Player
Here's my shot at this one. You seem to have a temperature reaction to the radio circuitry. Expansion and contraction at metal connections possibly.
Check for poor radio connector connection under the dash. It may be only partially connected and needs to be removed and reconnected well. Also check for any radio related wiring that may be loose. Disconnect and resecure well. Of course, have engine and everything else off before you begin.
Good Luck.
