Default CENTRAL LOCK - 99 EXPLORER

I have 99 Explorer. All doors locked automatically when I shift gear to drive. It is not doing so now and I have to lock or open doors manually. I do not have the manual book. I suspect maybe the fuse is blown. Two fuse boxes - one in the hood, the other on dash board by driver side. I do not know the right fuse to check and the location. Or do you think is something else. Please help. Thanks

Well guys, I found the fuse that controls the locks. It's burnt and I replaced it. I'm OK now.

I always thought that that was a safety feature. I am not aware of any fuses blown on my 99. Doors have always locked when I put it into Drive..

I like it that they lock as well. I just wish they would automatically unlock when you put it into Park. Like my in-laws GM sedan.

If you google keypad settng instructions there is a way to program your door lock to disengage when shifting into park using the keypad on the drivers door.
