Default Combination Pad on Door

I am a former Aerostar owner and just purchased a 2000 Explorer without an owners manual. I would like to know how to set the combination keypad on the driver's door. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Your original factory setting for this is stamped on the inside of the left rear fender and is accessable through the jack access panel. You may need a mirror to get to it. Even if the code has been changed the original will always work. If you will e-mail me @ jdisney@windstream.net I will scan the instruction for programming for you.
Good Luck with your Explorer

I looked and could not locate it even with a mirror. Is it near the front or rear of the vehicle? Also I emailed you just in case.

Thumbs up I found it!!!

The code is located in the inside panel in the jack area. I went to wikipedia and they had step by step instructions. The code is actually on the control module for the door locks. You have to unscrew it and pull it back to see it. It is impossible to use a mirror because the clearance is very tight. Thanks a bunch for the owner's manual.
