Default Explorer entry door code

Does anyone knows how to get the door codes for a 2004 explorer (Eddie Bauer).
I bought my explore at Major World and they did not know the entry code them selfs.
Is it possible to reset the present code without knowing the code?
Someone told me that the only way to get it reset is to take it to the Ford dealer.
Im hoping that there is another way.
Thank You All.

The code is printed on the security module which is located behind the rear passenger side compartment panel. You will have to remove the panel to get to it. With that code you will be able to set your own code. Hope that helps.

Default RE: Explorer entry door code

After researching here I found out that the code to the door is on the key pad module located in the piller behind the rear passenger door.Well today I got some time so thought Id try it.Step 1 - fold the rear passesnger seatStep 2 - pull the rubber seal out (rear upper section only)Step 3 - The upper panel where the seat belt adjuster is can be easily pried out, you'll see the clips after you remove the rubber weather strippingStep 4 - There is a clip on the lower part of this panel that can be easily popped outStep 5 - Now you can pry easily on the lower panel, you'll see the module when you look down inside after prying open the upper panel.Step 6 - I used a small mirror, and found a 5 digit number on the black module box. The white sticker has black text and is is facing the drivers side so without a mirror you'd really need to get the lower panel loosened to pry it out more.It was easy -15 mins tops.Step 7 snap everything back together - no tools required - except the mirror. I followed this today and now i have the code that the dealer wanted $80.00 to pull from the computer my explorer is 04 xlt thanks to the( poster of this )[/align]
