Default Mysterious electrical issue '05 EB Explorer

Just bought it 2 weeks ago and I think I've got me a lemon.24K miles. While driving, check engine light went on andfuel gauge went from Full to Empty. Car was still running fine. I went straight to the dealer. They said it was a faulty fuel pump. Changed it and I was on my way. Two days later, same thing happened (check engine light and fuel gauge problem) except this time the power steering went as well. I pulled over had roadside assistance tow me to dealership. While waiting for tow, had ignition turned to accessory listening to radio. All of a sudden advtrac light on message center kept turning on and off then finally just said "check advance track" and eventually car died as if it was battery or alternator. Tow truck driver confirmed it and could prove I'm not hallucinating. It has now been at the dealer for about a week and they can't duplicate the problem, have no codes coming up and want to give it back to me. I refuse to take it until they fix the problem. Any suggestions, ideas, tips would be extremely helpful.

Had dealer check history but no warranty work came up for it so it seems as if the problem was just waiting for me to purchase it to pop up.
