Default T-CASE ASSISTANCE

HEY YALL,
Thanks for the information. The year is a 1991. The splines and shafts on both look good. I have not had any trouble with T-case
I just pulled it to put that gasket in. I change fluid every 6 mos. , only use 4x4 for short periods of time (approx. 5 to 15 min ),
just long enough to crawl into and out of ravines to get to my fishing spots, and usually in low range. While I have the T-case
out should I open it up and check it out? Are there preventative things I should do to avoid future problems(cleaning, applying
grease, changing sprockets or chain)? I am not stupid, I just have never had one of these apart or know what is inside that
might be succeptable to premature wear and / or failure. I would just like to learn what the weak componants are and when to
consider replacing or servicing them. I consider yall here to be quite knowledgable, so please overlook my ignorance on the
subject.
Thanks again for your help. GBY.
