Default RE: windshield wipers not turning off

wow, does that sound familiar. i had a 94 ranger that had the same problem. in my truck it was the switch in the steering colum. try turning the wipers to high and then back to off real fast. if the wipers turn off, its that switch. there is a rod that runs the length of the wiper control to the switch in the colum. the plastic piece the rod drives inside the switch rounds out and stays at the lowest intermintint position. with my truck, a new switch was about $90. the epoxy i filled the hole with then inserted the rod back into cost about 1 cent. hope this helps.
