Default yesterday i was strugling with my fuel filter can i have some help please???

Hey.. hopefully someone can help. I uncapped my gas tank, took off my relay, and the fuse for fuel system. problem is my car turns but doesn't crank so i don't know how else to depressurize the fuel lines. i still tried to take the fuel filter off with the little tool that fits into the hose thats attached to the filter. (1995 ford explorer limited) now these hoses have metal fittings on the ends but they just won't come off!!!!! i don't want to apply too much force cuz i don't know if i can brake a line or something.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!! i haven't had a car for over a week.

Those tools should slide into the metal fitting and expand the springs. Make sure you're using the correct diameter tool.

Can you hear the pump come on or "whine" when you turn the ignition to the "on" position?
