Default 1985 f150 with hot starting issues?

I have an 85 2wd with a 351who and am having trouble with hot starts. It runs rich. It will start fine cold and drive with out issues, until you shut it off. like at a gas station. I t won't start again for 30 minutes or so. The plugs, wires, cap, rotor and battery are all new. We you go to restart it it acts like the battery is dead. Any helpfull hints?

If it is acting like the battery is dead I am guessing I can translate that to the starter isn't turning over very well or at all?

If your starter is exposed to alot of heat it can be tough for it to spin the engine over until it cools off. This can eventually cause it to fail as well.
