1990 bronco 4x4 trouble
#21
ABSOLUTELY NOT this is the only thing that keeps me sane. And what I meant is I work on my own junk as a hobby not for a dealership or a shop. If I can't do it myself then I'll get it out of my yard. I'll pay a shop to fix my 94 should something go wrong that I can't figure out.

Wont start
I have 1990 bronco with the 5.8...For a few months when i would first start it in the morning, it would tart up fine but run rough and die after fighting with it it would tay running but still rough for a minute or two but something would click in and then it would run fine...So last week i went out to leave and it wouldnt start...Ive checked for spark and it has spark every where it should, although the park coming off the plugs is orange...I can hear the fuel pump running and there's fuel all the way up to the fuel rail...changed the fuel filter but it still wouldnt start...So we sparyed starting fluid in it and it wants to start for a second but it wont...When i first try starting it it will pop and just continue cranking...Can anyone PLEASE HELP BEFORE I BURN THIS DAMN THING TO THE GROUND.

These may seem like some dumb questions, but when was the last time spark plugs were changed?
If the battery is low the computer will not allow certain things to happen.
Did you check the inertia switch to make sure it is closed?
Did you look inside the dist cap for any moisture, kinda makes them run crummy if at all.
You should have a good hot spark coming out of the coil to the dist cap. Do you have good spark there?
I realize the vehicle is a 1990, but if maintained it should perform as expected.
After we get the answers to the above questions, might be able to offer some additional checks.
