1994 F-150 and recall number 05S28
I just bought my 1994 ford f-150 ext. cab XLT 5.0L V8 with 170,800 miles on Sunday.
I registered it on "My Ford" through ford's website and it says there is a recall effective on this truck.
It says:
"SPEED CONTROL SYSTEM MODIFICATION" "Recall Code: 05S28"
I was wondering if I can still take the truck in to be recalled and if I should or not..
any Suggestions?

This recall was published 8/28/06.. Here it is in short...
SAFETY RECALL 05S28..
SUBJECT: Safety Recall 05S28 - Supplement #9
Certain 1994-1996 Model Year Bronco, 1994-2002 F-150 through F-550, 1997-2002 Expedition, 1998-2002 Navigator, 2002 Blackwood,1994-1996 E-150/250/350, 1996-2002 E-450, 2000-2002 Excursion, and 1998 Explorer and Mountaineer vehicles equipped with Speed Control
Speed Control System Modification
REASON FOR THIS RECALL
The underhood Speed Control Deactivation Switch (SCDS) may overheat, smoke, or burn, which could result in an underhood fire. The potential for a fire exists regardless of whether speed control is being used or the engine is running
The problem is that the deactivation switch out on the 'end' of the master cylinder can become contaminated with brake fluid, loose or compromise the connection and can possibly result in a fire, or damage..
Check with your servicing dealer.... 'Should be checked'

RE: 1994 F-150 and recall number 05S28
But I'm wondering.. is it worth it?
Because right now.. (And I have all ready know about this and researched this and know this is my problem) My "Clockspring" is bad and my horn and cruise control don't work. My airbag light is also flashing a "32" code. I have a new clock spring sitting in my garage and I just need to get the time to install it.
Should I take it before I put the new clock spring in or put it in then take it?
