Default 1995 ford f150 302 horsepower gain???

Alright I know on the old carb. 460 u could do a percesion tune to the carb and advance the timing 9degres and get a hell of a lotta horsepower and econmy... I was wondering if ford retarded the timing on the 302's or did something stupid like that to meet emmisions? I have put a exhaust and few other cheep things to try to get better mpgs with little sucess...I'm runnin 35's and could really use the horse power and the mpgs.....any help?

K&N air cleaner filter and a plug and wire tune-up may help. Headers instead of exhaust manifolds. Remove belt driven fan and replace with electric fan.

The 35's in general will kill MPG's. Changing the gearing will help the engine spin them easier, but to do it you run a higher rpm so the MPG saving might be minimal there.
